FALMOUTH - Anne L Fields of Falmouth, ME died Thursday December 31, 2009 at the home of her daughter. She was born November 13, 1920 in Portland, ME to Clara & William Anthony. She was the youngest of eleven brothers & sisters. She graduated from Deering High School in 1937. In 1939 she married E. Kenneth Fields and they raised two children in the little Italy section of Portland, on Federal Street and later in Falmouth. Anne enjoyed gardening, volunteering at St. Joseph's Manor, her bowling leagues, her rosary group, bingo, music, singing and dancing, and spending time with her friends and family, especially her great grandson Josh.
She was predeceased by all her siblings, her son Henry, and husband Kenneth. She is survived by her daughter Josephine and husband Alan Crockett of South Portland,, who cared for her during her illness; daughter in law Jerrilyn Fields Cadigan of South Portland, grand daughter Lisa & her husband Paul White of Falmouth; grandson Kenneth Fields of Portland, grand daughter Elizabeth Darling of South Portland, three great grandchildren, Joshua White, Nicole Darling, & Lindsey Darling, and many nieces & nephews.
There will be no visitation hours. A memorial mass will be held at ten o'clock AM Thursday January 7 at Holy Martyrs in Falmouth. A reception will follow.
