PORTLAND - Corporal Julius Napoleone, 87, of Scarborough and formerly of Portland died Wednesday, Dec.16, 2009, at Maine Medical Center. He was born in Portland, on March 17, 1922, one of thirteen children of the late Luigi & Liza (Cambacurtta) Napoleone and had been a Portland resident most of his life. He attended local area schools. Julius was employed as a welder for several years for Bath Iron Works before retiring. Julius honorably served in the US Army during WWII and the Korean War. He is the last of his immediate family and is survived by several nieces and nephews. His burial, with Military Honors, at the Veterans Cemetery in Augusta will be private.
