PORTLAND - Marie Evelyn Holt age 91 of Portland died peacefully at The Cedars on Monday February 1, 2010. She was born in Westbrook on September 15, 1918 the daughter of Henry and Evelyne Aube Brault. She graduated from Westbrook High School. Evelyn married Frederick Arthur Holt on September 12, 1964. She had worked at various places such as S.D. Warren in Westbrook, Dana Warp Woolen Mill in Westbrook, B&M Baked Beans, and later in life did office cleaning. Evelyn loved to bowl and go dancing especially to blues and jazz music.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years Frederick Arthur Holt of Portland, two grandsons Michael Bonnetti of Lewiston, Maine and Reginald Garison of Minot, and a great grandson Seth Watson of Biddeford.
She was predeceased by her daughter Yvonne Garrison.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday February 3, 2010 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. Portland. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00PM in the funeral home. Interment will be in the spring at St. Hyacinth Cemetery in Westbrook.
