PORTLAND - Donna Louise (Vance) Scott, 65, a lifelong resident of Portland, died Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at Maine Medical Center. She was the wife of Archibald 'Archie' S. Scott.Donna was born in Portland on May 14, 1945, one of sixteen children of the late Henry F. and Hatti (Packer) Vance. She attended local area schools and graduated from Portland High School. Donna worked as a seamstress for many years for various companies and spent the last 20 years as the owner and operator with her husband for Scott's Security. Besides her husband of 47 years, she is survived by three daughters, Carole A. Scott, Heidi A. Scott and Cambrya P. Scott, all of Portland, and her son Koy A. Scott also of Portland. She also leaves two granddaughters, Ryzin H. and Elizabeth A. Scott, both of Portland; as well as a sister, Constance P. Dame of Portland; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, June 7, 2010, from 10-11 a.m., at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland.
A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Philip Shearman officiating. Burial will follow in Brooklawn Memorial Park, Portland.
