Sample #1:Jane Doe, 99, died September 24, 2007, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born January 1, 1908, in Tremont the daughter of John and Mildred (Smith) Doe. Jane was a past matron and life member of the Eastern Star. She was a past Noble Grand of Rowena Rebekah Lodge of Anytown and was past District Deputy. Jane was a life member and past president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Memorial Post. She was a life member and past president of the Bill Name Post, American Legion Auxiliary, Anytown. Jane was a past president of the Ladies Patriarch Militant and received the Cross and Degree of Chivalry. Jane will be fondly remembered as being a chef many establishments. For many summers she worked serving many dinners as a well known caterer. She also served on the board of directors of Eastern Agency of Aging for several years. Jane volunteered as a driver and sitter for shut ins over the years. More then anything Jane was a wonderful, caring, mother, grandmother, sister, and great-grandmother, had a wonderful sense of humor, and will be sadly missed. She is survived by her children; Michael Doe and wife Leslie of Anytown, Fred Doe of Anytown, Sylvester Ward of Capital City; a sister, JoAnne of Anytown; 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and several great-great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Johnny Doe, a grandson Robert Dow , four sisters, and two brothers. A graveside funeral service will be held 1 PM, Friday, September 31, 2007, at Cemetery Name, Anytown, with Rev. Dr. John Smith officiating. Sample #2:Michael White, 90, died August 31, 2007, at Hospital Name. He was born February 17, 1917, in Anytown the son of John M. and Mildred (Smith) White. Michael graduated from Anytown High School in the Class of 1935 and from the University of Any State in 1941. He married the love of his life, Joanne (Brown) White on January 23, 1944. Michael had diplomatic Status in World War II and worked as a field engineer, on aircraft carriers, for Vought Aircraft and LTV Aerospace Corp. After living in California, Texas, and Japan, he and Joanne moved back to Orono to retire. More then anything he loved his dear wife Patty, airplanes, traveling, fishing, Chow dogs, and the people of Orono. Michael was predeceased by his wife, Joanne in 1997. He is survived by three nephews, a niece, and many friends. A Service of Remembrance will be held 1 PM, Thurs, May 10, at Funeral Home Name, Funeral Home Address, with Rev. Pastor Name, presiding.
